Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What inspired this challenge?

As a technology lawyer (Jung) and an ivory-tower academic (Charles), we thought we could achieve anything just by working harder and smarter. But we were burning out. We kept saying to each other, "There's got to be a better way!" And over the course of a decade, we learned the hard way that self-care is the first and most important step when making any meaningful change.

What does self-care have to do with self-knowledge?

We thought we were smart enough to figure anything out. Until we hit the wall. We couldn’t answer the simple question, “If not this, then what?” And we got even more frustrated hearing, “All the answers are inside you.” Because we didn’t know how and where to look, let alone what to look for! This began our journey to look for a way out by going inward.

We invite you to take the challenge and see for yourself how you can start making changes from a place of strength and health. You might be surprised how getting to know yourself and befriending yourself, as you would with someone you care for, changes the way you relate to yourself, work, and the world.

What do I get when I sign up for this challenge?

Over seven days you’ll receive a daily email from us guiding you on your journey — sprinkled with audio and journaling prompts. After the challenge, we'd love to stay connected, but there is no obligation or expectation whatsoever. You can unsubscribe anytime, even during the challenge.

What is the expected time commitment?

Seven minutes a day for seven days. A total of forty-nine minutes. Less than one hour out of your week! (But we won’t stop you from enjoying it for longer if you wish.)
